White opaque primer-paint is designed for preparing substrates before painting, wallpapering, and applying other decorative coatings indoors and outdoors.

Using primer-paint as the first layer in a painting system eliminates substrate contrast and reduces paint consumption by up to 34%*, especially for saturated and bright colors.
Improves the uniformity of finish paint application without streaks or spots.
Evens out the absorption capacity of the substrate.
The white color of the primer-paint serves as an additional marker during work.

Blocks the growth of mold and fungi on the surface.
Used for creating a decorative and protective finish layer as part of external thermal insulation composite systems with external plaster layers (ETICS).

Permissible for use in buildings and structures of types:
Type A — residential buildings and dormitories; buildings and premises of organizations for the upbringing and education, recreation and health improvement of children and youth; healthcare organizations; homes for the disabled and the elderly; sanatoriums; rest homes; indoor sports facilities; office premises with permanent occupancy in administrative buildings at industrial enterprises and other objects of types B, V.
Type B — food industry, trade and public catering enterprises; hotels; non-food stores; communication enterprises; consumer service enterprises; cultural and entertainment and other facilities; administrative buildings.
Type C — industrial enterprises, auxiliary and utility rooms and structures; warehouses; garages.

The primer-paint can be tinted using a computer (machine) method into colors close to RAL, NCS, and other color catalogs.
It is permissible to add up to 5% tinting pastes by weight of the primer-paint. Manual tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes.
The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual color shades may slightly differ from those presented in the color catalog.
Before application, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color compliance.
To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended to use product from the same production batch on one visual plane (the batch number is indicated on each package) or to pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.

Surface preparation:
Prepare the substrate in accordance with SP 71.13330.2017.

• Clean the substrate from dust and dirt. Remove loose layers of old paint and whitewash from previously painted surfaces.
• Hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces should be sanded to a matte state, and sanding dust must be removed.
• Surfaces previously covered with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until completely removed.
• Intensively absorbing surfaces should be pre-primed with Bergauf Techno Primer deep penetration primer to increase the reliability of the coating and reduce the consumption of the primer-paint.

Work procedure:
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean, the substrate temperature for performing work from +5°C, the room temperature during paint application from +5°C to +35°C, and relative air humidity below 80%.
It is recommended to use primer-paint from the same production batch to avoid differences in shade.
Mix the primer-paint thoroughly. It is necessary to mix with a wide and flat slat or a construction mixer at low speeds, carefully, avoiding the formation of air bubbles, for 1−3 minutes.
It is not recommended to mix the material by shaking the closed can. After transportation and/or active mixing, if air bubbles appear, the primer-paint needs to settle until they disappear.
Apply the primer-paint to the prepared dry, clean surface using a brush, roller, or paint sprayer.
For rough surfaces such as textured plasters, brick, concrete blocks, and relief ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a pile length of 12−25 mm. For coarse surfaces such as putties, plasters, concrete, fiberglass, and painting non-woven wallpaper — with a pile length
of 8−12 mm. For smooth surfaces such as gypsum board, MDF, chipboard, architectural decor elements (architraves, moldings, ceiling cornices) — with a pile length of up to 6 mm.
The primer-paint is ready for use. For airless spraying, dilution with water by 5−10% is allowed.
When carrying out work, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and high humidity conditions.
Upon completion of work, wash hands and tools thoroughly with warm water.

Safety precautions
Work should be performed using personal protective equipment for hands, eyes, and respiratory tract. Use in well-ventilated areas.

Store and transport in tightly closed containers at temperatures not less than +5°C and not more than +35°C. Five-fold freezing is allowed for a total duration of no more than 2 weeks at temperatures not lower than -40°C.
Protect the product bucket from excessive heat and avoid storage under direct sunlight. Subject to storage conditions, the guaranteed shelf life in closed original packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture. Product separation may occur during storage, which is easily eliminated by stirring. Keep partially used product in a tightly closed container and use as quickly as possible.
The product is fire and explosion-proof and does not contain flammable components.
