* Material consumption depends on the quality of the substrate preparation, application method, tools used, and the qualification of the
workers, and may differ from the specified values.
** at t +20±2 °C and relative air humidity of no more than 65±5%.
When the temperature decreases or humidity increases, the drying time may increase. At air temperatures below +15°C or
relative air humidity above 65%, apply the next coat no earlier than after 24 hours.
Manual tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes.
Substrate preparation
Substrate preparation should be carried out in accordance with SP 71.13330.2017. Clean the substrate of dust and dirt. Remove loose layers of old paint and whitewash from previously painted surfaces. Sand hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces to a matte state, and remove the sanding dust.
Level irregularities, depressions, cracks, and chips with Bergauf UNI PASTA water-dispersion filler, then sand. Surfaces previously covered with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until completely removed.
Pre-prime highly absorbent surfaces to increase coating reliability and reduce paint consumption. It is recommended to use primers from the Praktik line (depending on the type of substrate), as well as fillers.
Working conditions
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean, the substrate temperature for the work must be at least +5°C, the room temperature during paint application must be between +5°C and +35°C, and the relative air humidity must be below 80%.
It is recommended to use paint from the same production batch to eliminate differences in the shade of the finish layer.
Material preparation
Stir the paint thoroughly. It is necessary to stir with a wide and flat slat or a construction mixer at low speeds, carefully, avoiding the formation of air bubbles, for 1-3 minutes. It is not recommended to mix the material by shaking the closed can. After transportation and/or active stirring, if air bubbles appear, the paint needs to settle until they disappear.
If necessary, the paint can be diluted with water by no more than 5% by volume.
Application technology
Apply the paint to a prepared dry, clean surface using a brush, roller, or spray gun. For rough surfaces such as textured plasters, brick, concrete blocks, and relief ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a pile length of 12-25 mm. For coarse surfaces such as putties, plasters, concrete, fiberglass, and painting non-woven fabric — with a pile length of 8-12 mm. For smooth surfaces such as drywall, MDF, chipboard, and architectural decor elements (architraves, moldings, ceiling cornices) — with a pile length of up to 6 mm.
The paint is ready to use; for application by brush or roller, it can be diluted with water by no more than 5% if necessary. For airless spraying, dilution with water by 5-10% is allowed, nozzle 0.013-0.015", pressure 180-190 bar. The spray angle is chosen based on the area and geometric features of the surface being painted.
Application of two coats of paint is recommended.
Precautions
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and high humidity conditions during work.
After completing the work, wash hands and tools thoroughly with warm water.
Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at temperatures not less than +5°C and not more than +35°C. Five-fold freezing is allowed for a total duration of no more than 2 weeks at temperatures not lower than -40°C.
The bucket containing the product should be protected from excessive heat and storage under direct sunlight should be avoided. Subject to storage conditions, the guaranteed shelf life in closed original packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage, product separation may occur, which is easily eliminated by stirring. Keep partially used product in a tightly closed container and use as soon as possible.
Safety
The product is fire and explosion safe, and does not contain flammable components.
