Facade silicate paint is designed for painting mineral facades and plinths, as well as for rooms with normal and high humidity. On building plinths, capillary moisture suction from the substrate side must be excluded.
Forms a coating resistant to moisture, precipitation, UV radiation, alkali solutions, and the industrial environment of enterprises and cities. Suitable for manual and machine application.
Tinting and color solutions
The paint is produced in 2 bases—A and C. Tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes. Base A is intended for tinting into light and pastel shades and can also be used as white paint. Base C is used only in tinted form and is intended for tinting into saturated shades.
When painting in bright colors using Base C, it is recommended to first apply a coat of Base A paint tinted to a similar shade. Paint tinting can be carried out in accordance with NCS, RAL, and other tinting systems.
To avoid differences in shade on the same surface, use products with the same batch number (see packaging) or pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio. The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Color rendering features
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, actual color shades may differ slightly from those presented in the color catalog. Before application, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color matching.
Surface preparation
Clean the surface of dust, dirt, efflorescence, and oil stains. Remove loose paint and plaster using a sandblaster, hydro-sandblaster, or a steel brush. Heavily chalking and unstable surfaces must be cleared down to a solid base mechanically or by washing with pressurized water.
Level surface defects with an appropriate repair mortar. In case of surface infestation by fungus or mold, treat with a sanitizing agent, following the relevant instructions.
Concrete, reinforced concrete, and brickwork can be painted at an age of at least 28 days; cement plasters at an age of at least 14 days; cement-lime and lime-cement plasters at an age of at least 3 days.
Glossy concrete surfaces (cement glue) should be treated with a sandblaster or a steel brush to create a profile suitable for painting. Any cracks in the reinforced concrete structure should be opened by scraping or using a grinding machine with a disc and flange. Clean exposed metal from rust and protect it with anti-corrosion paint.
Before application, treat the surface with an appropriate primer from the Bergauf line — Bergauf Tiefgrunt, Bergauf Techno Primer, or Bergauf Aqua Grunt (diluted, choose the concentration level depending on the type of substrate).
Application technology
The surface must be dry, clean, and primed before painting. Apply the paint at a temperature not lower than +5°C and relative air humidity not exceeding 80%. It is forbidden to carry out work in hot weather, in strong winds, under direct sunlight, or during rain.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Dilution with water is permitted in an amount of no more than 5% of the material weight. Apply evenly to the prepared surface in 2 layers using a brush, roller, or spray gun.
To avoid differences in shade, use paint from the same batch. It is recommended not to take breaks when painting a continuous surface; work using the "wet-on-wet" method at overlap points. Work should be finished at architectural boundaries (at the corners of the building, under downspouts, etc.).
Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at a temperature of at least +5°C and no more than +40°C. The product bucket should be protected from excessive heating and storage under direct sunlight should be avoided. Subject to these conditions, the guaranteed shelf life in closed original packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
Safety and disposal
The product is fire and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components. After use, dispose of the container as household waste.
