Purpose and scope of application
Intended for decorative finishing and protection of wooden facades, walls, doors, windows, beams, railings, fences, and gazebos.
Types of surfaces for application: solid, profiled and glued timber, rounded logs, lining, block-house, and other surfaces made of sawn, planed, and solid wood.
For indoor and outdoor use.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be treated must be dry and thoroughly cleaned of dirt, wax, grease, resin, and old paint or varnish coatings. Surfaces previously covered with other compounds must be cleaned of old peeling material, sanded, and dusted. Areas affected by blue stain and mold should be mechanically cleaned beforehand and treated with an antiseptic wood preservative.
Pre-treat the surface to be painted with Bergauf WoodTechno Aquaprim primer; saturate the end grains.
PROCEDURE
The glaze must be thoroughly stirred before use. It is also recommended to stir the product periodically during work. The moisture content of the wood should not exceed 20%.
The surface to be treated must be dry and clean; the air and surface temperature for work should be from +5°C, with a relative humidity of no more than 80%.
The composition is applied generously with a brush, roller, or sprayer along the wood grain over the entire length of the material being treated. It is necessary to treat the end grains of the surface being painted very carefully. Apply in 1-2 coats for indoor use, and 2-3 coats for outdoor use.
The color intensity of the coating depends on the type of wood, the quality of surface preparation, and the number of coats applied. To determine the required color intensity, make a test patch on the surface to be painted.
It is recommended to use a product from the same production batch. In case of using different batches, the product must be mixed in a single container.
It is forbidden to carry out painting work during rain, fog, or drizzle.
After finishing work, clean the tools with water.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Work should be carried out using personal protective equipment for hands, eyes, and respiratory tract. Use in well-ventilated areas. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water. Seek medical advice if necessary. In case of contact with skin, wash with soap and water. Keep out of reach of children!
