* Material consumption depends on the quality of substrate preparation, application method, tools used, the skill of the workers, and may differ from the indicated values.
** At a temperature of (+20±2) °C and a relative air humidity of no more than (65±5) %. If the temperature decreases or humidity increases, the drying time may increase. At an air temperature below +15°C or relative air humidity above 65%, the next layer of primer should be applied no earlier than 24 hours later.
A special insulating primer is used before applying Fire Stop non-combustible paint to various types of substrates. Using Bergauf Techno Primer Isol ensures compatibility and adhesion of Fire Stop non-combustible paint to the substrate, prevents chalking, and provides high strength and performance properties of the coating.
The primer forms an opaque "breathable" coating, evens out the absorbency of the substrate, improves interlayer adhesion due to micro-reinforcement of the substrate, and promotes more uniform application of subsequent paint layers. Easy to apply, dries quickly.
Used for treating concrete, brick, cement, gypsum, polymer plasters or putties.
The primer can be used in rooms with normal and high humidity.
Available in a fixed color palette: milky white
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
Substrate preparation should be carried out in accordance with SP 71.13330.2017.
The substrate must meet the following requirements:
concrete, reinforced concrete, brickwork older than 28 days and relative humidity no more than 4%
cement, cement-sand, cement-lime, lime plasters and putties older than 14 days and relative humidity no more than 4%
polymer putties older than 3 days, relative humidity no more than 1%
gypsum plasters and putties older than 3 days, relative humidity no more than 1%.
Clean the substrate from dust and dirt. Remove loose layers of old paint and whitewash from previously painted surfaces.
Sand hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces to a matte finish, and remove sanding dust. Surfaces previously covered with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until completely removed.
If necessary, fill in irregularities, then sand the dried surface.
Strengthen loose (soft) gypsum plasters, fillers, and polymer fillers with Bergauf Techno Primer or Bergauf Tiefgrunt deep-penetrating primer.
WORK PROCEDURE
The surface to be treated must be solid, dry, clean, and free of substances that prevent adhesion; the base temperature for work should be from +5°C, the room temperature during paint application should be from +5°C to +35°C, and the relative air humidity should be below 80%.
Stir until homogeneous before use; do not dilute.
Apply to a prepared, dry, clean surface using a roller, brush, or sprayer.
Recommended number of primer coats depending on the type of base:
— gypsum plasters and putties 2 coats
— polymer putties 1–2 coats
— cement plasters and putties 1–2 coats
— concrete 1–2 coats
— drywall 1–2 coats
— brick 1–2 coats.
Application of Fire Stop non-combustible paint to the primed surface should be carried out no earlier than 4 hours later, provided the temperature is at least +15°C and the relative humidity is no more than 65%.
At temperatures below +15°C or relative humidity above 65%, the drying time of the primer before painting increases. The curing time can take up to 14 days.
Application of Fire Stop non-combustible paint over undried primer is not allowed!
Store and transport in a tightly closed container at a temperature of at least +5°C and no more than +35°C. The bucket with the product should be protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Do not freeze. If stored under the specified conditions, the shelf life in the original sealed packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture. Separation of the product may occur during storage, which is easily corrected by stirring. Keep any partially used product in a tightly closed container and use as soon as possible.
The product is fire and explosion-proof and does not contain flammable components.
