Silicate facade paint is intended for painting mineral facades and plinths, as well as for rooms with normal and high humidity. Capillary moisture suction from the base side must be excluded on building plinths.
Forms a coating resistant to moisture, precipitation, UV radiation, alkaline solutions, and the industrial environment of enterprises and cities. Suitable for manual and machine application.
Tinting and color solutions
The paint is produced in 2 bases — A and C. Tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes. Base A is intended for tinting into light and pastel shades and can also be used as a white paint. Base C is used only in tinted form and is intended for tinting into saturated shades.
When painting in bright colors using base C, it is recommended to first apply a layer of base A paint tinted in a similar shade. The paint can be tinted in accordance with NCS, RAL, and other tinting systems.
To avoid differences in shade on a single surface, use a product with the same batch number (see on the packaging) or pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio. The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the result.
Color rendering features
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from those presented in the color catalog. Before use, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color compliance.
Surface preparation
Clean the surface of dust, dirt, efflorescence, and oil stains. Remove loose paint and plaster using a sandblasting or hydro-sandblasting machine, or a steel brush. Heavily chalking and weak surfaces must be cleaned down to a solid base mechanically or by washing with water under pressure.
Level surface defects with an appropriate repair mortar. In case of fungal or mold growth on the surface, treat it with a sanitizing agent, following the relevant instructions.
Can be used to paint concrete, reinforced concrete, and brickwork at least 28 days old; cement plasters at least 14 days old; cement-lime and lime-cement plasters at least 3 days old.
Treat glossy concrete surfaces (cement paste) with a sandblaster or steel brush to create a profile suitable for painting. Open any cracks in the reinforced concrete structure by scraping or using a grinding machine with a disc and flange. Clean exposed metal of rust and protect it with anti-corrosion paint.
Before application, treat the surface with an appropriate primer from the Bergauf line — Bergauf Tiefgrunt, Bergauf Techno Primer, or Bergauf Aqua Grunt (in diluted form; choose the concentration level depending on the type of substrate).
Application technology
Before painting, the surface must be dry, clean, and primed. Apply the paint at a temperature not lower than +5°C and a relative air humidity of no more than 80%. It is forbidden to carry out work in hot weather, during strong winds, under direct sunlight, or in the rain.
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Diluting the paint with water in an amount of no more than 5% of the material's weight is permitted. Apply to the prepared surface with a brush, roller, or spray gun evenly in 2 coats.
To avoid differences in shade, use paint from the same batch. It is recommended not to take breaks when painting a continuous surface; in areas of "overlaps," work using the "wet-on-wet" method. Work should be finished at architectural boundaries (at the corners of the building, under downpipes, etc.).
Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in a tightly closed container at a temperature of at least +5°C and no more than +40°C. The bucket with the product should be protected from excessive heat and stored away from direct sunlight. If conditions are met, the shelf life in the original unopened packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
Safety and disposal
The product is fire and explosion-proof, does not contain flammable components. After use, dispose of the container as household waste.
