* Coverage depends on the quality of surface preparation, application method, the tools used, the installers’ qualifications, and may differ from the stated values.
** At t (+20±2) °C and relative humidity of air no more than (65±5) %. If the temperature decreases or humidity increases, drying time may increase.
Paint tinting may be carried out in accordance with NCS, RAL and other tinting systems; it is permissible to add up to 5% tinting pastes by mass of the paint.
To avoid differences in shade on the same surface, use a product with the same batch number (see on the package) or pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio. The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Depending on the application conditions and the texture of the surface to be painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from those presented in the color catalog. Before use, you must perform a test application and check the dried coating for compliance with the color.
After adding tinting pastes, the product should be used within the shortest possible time to avoid changes in the properties of the tinted material during storage.
Surface preparation
Carry out the surface preparation in accordance with SP 71.13 330.2017. Remove dust and dirt from the substrate. From previously painted surfaces remove weak layers of old paint and limewash. Sand hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces until a matte finish is obtained; remove dust from sanding.
Level uneven areas, depressions, cracks and chips with a water-dispersion filler, then sand them smooth. Surfaces previously coated with chalk or lime-based paints must be carefully cleaned until completely removed.
Pre-prime surfaces with high absorbency in advance to improve coating reliability and reduce paint consumption. When applying manually, to improve adhesion to low-absorbency and smooth mineral substrates, it is recommended to use Bergauf Facade Grunt adhesion primer.
It is recommended to use primers from the Praktik range (depending on the type of substrate), as well as putties.
Order of work
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean. The substrate and ambient temperature for applying the paint should be from +5 °C to +35 °C, the relative humidity of the air (65±5) %. During the work avoid exposure to direct sunlight, conditions of increased humidity and contact with atmospheric precipitation.
Thoroughly mix the paint before use. To avoid differences in shade on the same surface, use a product with the same batch number (see on the package) or pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio.
Depending on the application conditions and the texture of the surface to be painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from the reference ones. Before use, you must perform a test application and check the dried coating for compliance with the desired color.
Application method
Apply the paint with a brush, roller or airless spray gun in 1 coat onto the prepared surface. Parameters for spray application: for paint with a particle size of 0.5 mm — 1.0 mm pressure 3 atm, nozzle diameter 4 mm. More precise parameters are determined by trial coating on the site object.
Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at a temperature of not less than +5° and not more than +35°C. Up to five freeze-thaw cycles are permitted with a total duration of no more than 2 weeks at a temperature not below -40°C.
It is necessary to protect the bucket with the product from excessive heating and avoid storage in direct sunlight. If the conditions are met, the warranty storage period in a closed factory package is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage, the product may separate; this can be easily eliminated by mixing. Do not keep the product that has not been fully used in a tightly closed container and use it within the shortest possible time.
Safety
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
