Purpose and area of application
Designed for decorative finishing and protection of wooden façades, walls, doors, windows, beams, railings, fences, gazebos.
Types of surfaces for application: solid, profiled and laminated timber, log, clapboard, log-style siding (blockhouse) and other surfaces made of sawn, planed and solid wood.
For outdoor and indoor use.
SURFACE PREPARATION
The surface to be treated must be dry, thoroughly cleaned of contaminants, wax, grease, resin, and old coatings. Previously coated surfaces treated with other compounds must be cleaned of peeling old material, sanded, and dusted off. Areas affected by bluing and mold must first be cleaned mechanically and treated with an antiseptic wood treatment.
Pre-treat the surface to be painted with Bergauf WoodTechno Aquaprim primer; soak the end grain until saturated.
WORK PROCEDURE
Before use, the glaze must be thoroughly mixed. It is also recommended to periodically mix the product during application. The wood moisture content must not exceed 20%.
The surface to be treated must be dry and clean; the air temperature and the substrate for carrying out the work must be from +5°C, with relative air humidity no more than 80%.
The mixture is applied generously with a brush, roller, or sprayer along the wood grain over the entire length of the material to be treated. It is necessary to treat the ends of the painted surface very thoroughly. Apply in 1–2 coats; for application indoors, apply in 2–3 coats—when applying outdoors.
The color intensity of the coating depends on the type of wood, the quality of surface preparation, and the number of applied coats. To determine the required color intensity, make a test coating on the surface to be painted.
It is recommended to use product from the same production batch. In the event of using different batches, the product must be mixed in the same container.
Painting work is prohibited during rain, fog, or drizzle.
After finishing the work, clean the tools with water.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Work should be carried out using personal protective equipment for hands, eyes, and respiratory pathways. Use in well-ventilated premises. If it gets into the eyes, rinse with water immediately. If necessary, consult a doctor. If it gets on the skin, rinse with water and soap. Keep away from children!
