** At t (+20±2) ℃ and a relative air humidity of no more than (65±5) %. When the temperature decreases or humidity increases, drying time may increase. At an air temperature below +15℃ or a relative air humidity above 65%, the next primer layer should be applied no earlier than after 24 hours.
Special insulating primer is used before applying the non-combustible paint Fire Stop to various types of substrates. Using the primer Bergauf Techno Primer Isol ensures compatibility and adhesion of the non-combustible paint Fire Stop to the substrate, prevents chalking, and provides high strength and service performance properties of the coating.
The primer forms an opaque “breathable” coating, levels the substrate’s absorbency, improves intercoat adhesion due to microreinforcement of the substrate, and helps achieve a more even application of subsequent layers of paint. Easy to apply, dries quickly.
Used for treating concrete, brick, cement, gypsum, polymer plasters or putties.
The primer can be used in rooms with normal and increased humidity.
Available in a fixed color palette: milky white
SURFACE PREPARATION
Perform surface preparation in accordance with SP 71.13 330.2017.
The substrate must meet the following requirements:
concrete, reinforced concrete, brick masonry; age over 28 days and relative humidity no more than 4%
cement, cement-sand, cement-lime, lime renders and putties; age over 14 days and relative humidity no more than 4%
polymer putties; age over 3 days, relative humidity no more than 1%
gypsum plasters and putties over 3 days old, and relative humidity no more than 1%.
Clean the substrate of dust and dirt. From previously painted surfaces, remove weak layers of old paint and whitewash.
Sand solid and firmly adhering glossy surfaces to a matte finish, and remove dust from sanding. Surfaces previously coated with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until fully removed.
If necessary, fill in uneven areas with filler, and then sand the dried surface.
Loosely bound (soft) gypsum plasters, fillers, and polymer fillers must be strengthened with a deep-penetrating primer Bergauf Techno Primer or Bergauf Tiefgrunt.
WORK PROCEDURE
The surface to be treated must be strong, dry, clean, and free of substances that prevent adhesion; the base temperature for work must be from +5°C; the paint application room temperature must be from +5°C to +35°C; relative air humidity below 80%.
Before use, mix until homogeneous; do not dilute.
Apply to the prepared dry, clean surface with a roller, brush, or sprayer.
Recommended number of primer coats depending on the type of base:
— gypsum plasters and fillers 2 coats
— polymer fillers 1–2 coats
— cement plasters and fillers 1–2 coats
— concrete 1–2 coats
— drywall 1–2 coats
— brick 1–2 coats.
Apply the non-combustible paint Fire Stop to the primed surface no earlier than after 4 hours, while maintaining the temperature range from +15°C and relative air humidity of no more than 65%.
At temperatures below +15°C or when relative air humidity is above 65%, the drying time of the primer before painting increases. The strength gain time may reach 14 days.
Applying the non-combustible paint Fire Stop over non-dried primer is not allowed!
Store and transport in a tightly sealed container at a temperature of at least +5°C and no more than +35°C. Protect the product bucket from excessive heating and avoid storage in direct sunlight. Do not freeze. If the conditions are met, the warranty storage period in the closed factory packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture. During storage, the product may separate, which is easily remedied by mixing. Do not keep the not-fully-used product in a tightly sealed container and use it as soon as possible.
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
