The paint is intended for painting walls and ceilings inside rooms with normal and increased humidity (kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, etc.)
The paint can be applied to concrete, brick, fiberboard and chipboard, plasterboard (gypsum boards), plastered, previously painted surfaces (but not glossy), wallpaper for painting
Tinting and color solutions
The paint is supplied in the form of two bases A and C and can be tinted by computer (machine) tinting to RAL, NCS and other color catalogs. Base A is intended for tinting to light and pastel shades; it can also be used as white paint; it is allowed to add up to 5% tinting pastes by mass of the paint.
Base C is used only in tinted form and is intended for tinting to rich shades; it is allowed to add up to 10% tinting pastes by mass of the paint. When painting in bright colors on base C, it is recommended to apply in advance a coat of paint of base A, tinted to a similar shade. Hand tinting using water-based tinting pastes is possible.
The organization performing tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Color reproduction characteristics
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from those shown in the color catalog. Before use, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color conformity.
To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended to use the product from a single production batch (batch number is indicated on each package) on one visual plane, or to pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.
Surface preparation
Perform the preparation of the substrate in accordance with SP 71.13 330.2017.
Clean the substrate of dust and dirt. On previously painted surfaces remove weakly adhering layers of old paint and limewash. Sand smooth and firmly adhering glossy surfaces until matte, remove sanding dust.
Level unevenness, depressions, cracks and chips with water-dispersion putty Bergauf UNI PASTA, sand.
Surfaces previously coated with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until complete removal. Pre-prime surfaces with high absorption in advance to increase the reliability of the coating and reduce paint consumption.
It is recommended to use primers from the Praktik range (depending on the type of substrate).
Conditions for carrying out the work
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean, the substrate temperature for carrying out the work is from +5°C, the room temperature when applying the paint is from +5°C to +35°C, the relative air humidity is below 80%.
It is recommended to use paint from a single batch of production to avoid differences in the shade of the finish layer.
Material preparation
Thoroughly mix the paint. Mixing should be done with a wide and flat mixing paddle or a construction mixer at low speeds, carefully, without allowing the formation of air bubbles, for 1−3 minutes. It is not recommended to mix the material by shaking a sealed can. After transportation and/or active mixing, if air bubbles appear, the paint needs to stand until they disappear.
Application process
Apply the paint to a prepared, dry, clean surface with a brush, roller, or airless spray equipment. For rough surfaces such as textured plasters, brick, concrete blocks, embossed ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a pile length of 12−25 mm. For rough surfaces such as putties, plasters, concrete, glass fiber mesh, painting nonwoven — with a pile length of 8−12 mm. For smooth surfaces such as plasterboard, MDF, chipboard, elements of architectural decor (trim pieces, moldings, ceiling cornices) — with a pile length of up to 6 mm.
The paint is ready for use; for application with a brush or roller, if necessary it is possible to thin with water by no more than 5%. For airless spraying, thinning with water of 5−10% is allowed; nozzle 0,013−0,015″, pressure 180−190 bar. The spray angle is selected based on the area and the geometrical features of the surface to be painted.
To obtain a rich color and improve the appearance of the surface, it is necessary to apply two coats of paint.
Precautions
When carrying out the work, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and conditions of high humidity. After finishing, wash hands and tools thoroughly with warm water.
Storage and transport conditions
Store and transport in a tightly closed container at a temperature of no less than +5° and no more than +35°C. Five cycles of freezing are allowed with a total duration of no more than 2 weeks at a temperature not below -40°C.
Protect the product pail from excessive heating and avoid storing it in direct sunlight. If the conditions are observed, the warranty storage period in closed factory packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage, product separation may occur, which is easily eliminated by stirring. Do not keep a product that has not been fully used in a tightly closed container and use it within the shortest possible time.
Safety
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
