The paint is intended for painting walls and ceilings indoors with normal and elevated humidity (kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, etc.).
The paint can be applied to concrete, brick, fibreboard and chipboard panels, plasterboard (drywall), plastered and previously painted surfaces (but not glossy), wallpaper for painting
Tinting and color solutions
The paint is available in the form of two bases, A and C, and can be tinted by computer (machine) tinting to colors RAL, NCS, and other color catalogs. Base A is intended for tinting into light and pastel shades; it can also be used as white paint, and it is permitted to add up to 5% tinting pastes by paint mass.
Base C is used only in tinted form and is intended for tinting into saturated shades; up to 10% tinting pastes may be added by weight of the paint. When painting in bright colors based on Base C, it is recommended to first apply a coat of Base A paint tinted to a similar shade. Manual tinting with water-based tinting pastes is possible.
The organization carrying out the tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Color reproduction characteristics
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from those shown in the color catalog. Before use, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color compliance.
To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended that on one visual surface you use a product from one production batch (batch number is indicated on each package) or first mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.
Surface preparation
Perform surface preparation in accordance with SP 71.13 330.2017.
Clean the base from dust and dirt. On previously painted surfaces, remove any loose layers of old paint and limewash. Roughen hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces until they become matte; remove dust from sanding. Level unevenness, depressions, cracks, and chips with a water-dispersion putty Bergauf UNI PASTA, then sand.
Surfaces previously coated with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until completely removed. Highly absorbent surfaces should be pre-primed to increase the reliability of the coating and reduce paint consumption.
It is recommended to use primers from the Praktik range (depending on the type of base).
Working conditions
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean; the substrate temperature for carrying out the work is from +5°C; the room temperature when applying the paint is from +5°C to +35°C; the relative air humidity is below 80%.
It is recommended to use paint from the same production batch to avoid differences in the finish coat shade.
Material preparation
Thoroughly mix the paint. Mixing must be done with a wide, flat paddle or a construction mixer at low speed, carefully, avoiding the formation of air bubbles, for 1–3 minutes. It is not recommended to mix the material by shaking a closed can. After transport and/or active mixing, if air bubbles form, the paint needs to stand until they disappear.
Application technology
Apply the paint to a prepared, dry, clean surface with a brush, roller, or paint sprayer. For rough surfaces such as textured plasters, brick, concrete blocks, and relief ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a pile length of 12−25 mm. For rough surfaces such as putties, plasters, concrete, glass mat, and painter’s flocking fabric — with a pile length of 8−12 mm. For smooth surfaces such as plasterboard, MDF, particle board, architectural decorative elements (trim pieces, mouldings, ceiling cornices) — with a pile length of up to 6 mm.
The paint is ready for use; for application with a brush or roller, if necessary you may dilute it with water by no more than 5%. For airless spraying, water dilution of 5−10% is allowed; nozzle 0,013−0,015″, pressure 180−190 bar. The spray angle is selected based on the area and the geometric features of the surface being painted.
To achieve a rich color and improve the appearance of the surface, apply two coats of paint.
Precautions
During work, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and conditions of high humidity. After finishing the work, wash hands and tools thoroughly with warm water.
Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at a temperature of at least +5° and no more than +35°C. Five-fold freezing with a total duration of no more than 2 weeks is allowed, at temperatures not lower than -40°C.
The bucket with the product should be protected from excessive heating and should not be stored in direct sunlight. If the storage conditions are met, the guaranteed shelf life in a closed factory package is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage, the product may stratify, which is easily eliminated by stirring. Do not keep a not fully used product in a tightly sealed container and use it within the shortest possible time.
Safety
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
