The paint is intended for painting the façades of residential and administrative buildings. The paint can be applied to surfaces made of brick, concrete, asbestos-cement, plastered and previously painted surfaces exposed to weathering, as well as to surfaces used indoors to obtain coatings that are resistant to wet cleaning and washing.
The paint can be applied to concrete, brick, fibre-cement and wood-chip boards, drywall (gypsum board), plastered and previously painted surfaces (but not glossy). Not recommended for painting plinths (socles).
For manual and mechanized application.
Tinting and color solutions
The paint is supplied in two bases A and C and can be tinted by computer (machine) in RAL, NCS and other color catalogs. Base A is intended for tinting to light and pastel shades; it can also be used as a white paint, it is allowed to add up to 5% tinting pastes by paint mass. Base C is used only when tinted and is intended for tinting to intense shades; it is allowed to add up to 10% tinting pastes by paint mass.
When painting in bright colors on base C, it is recommended to apply in advance a coat of base A paint tinted to a similar shade. Hand tinting using water-based tinting pastes is possible.
Responsibility for the tinting result rests with the organization carrying out the tinting.
Color rendering characteristics
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from those shown in the color catalog. Before use, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color conformity.
To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended on one visible area to use a product from the same production batch (batch number is indicated on each package) or to pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application process must remain unchanged.
Surface preparation
Prepare the surface in accordance with SP 71.13 330.2017. Remove dust and dirt from the surface. From previously painted surfaces remove weakly adhering layers of old paint and limewash. Sand hard and firmly adhering glossy surfaces until matte, remove sanding dust.
Level out unevenness, pits, cracks and chips with a water-dispersed filler, then sand. Surfaces previously coated with chalk or lime paints must be thoroughly cleaned until completely removed.
For highly absorbent surfaces, prime in advance to increase coating reliability and reduce paint consumption. It is recommended to use primers from the Praktik range (depending on the type of substrate).
Work procedure
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean; the substrate temperature for carrying out the work is from +5°C; the air temperature when applying the paint is from +10°C to +35°C; relative air humidity is below 80%. It is recommended to use paint from one production batch to avoid differences in the finish coat shade.
Material preparation
Thoroughly stir the paint. Stir using a broad and flat stirrer or a construction mixer at low speed, carefully, without allowing air bubbles to form, for 1−3 minutes. Do not recommend stirring the material by shaking the closed can. After transportation and/or active stirring, if air bubbles appear, the paint needs to stand until they disappear.
Application technology
Apply the paint to the prepared, dry and clean surface with a brush, roller or spray gun. For rough surfaces such as textured plasters, brick, concrete blocks, and embossed ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a nap length of 12−25 mm. For rough surfaces such as fillers, plasters, concrete, fiberglass cloth, painter’s nonwoven fabric — with a nap length of 8−12 mm. For smooth surfaces such as plasterboard, MDF, chipboard, architectural decor elements (trim pieces, mouldings, ceiling cornices) — with a nap length up to 6 mm.
The paint is ready for use; for brush or roller application, if necessary it may be diluted with water by no more than 5%. For airless spraying, water dilution of 5−10% is permitted; nozzle 0.013−0.015″, pressure 180−190 bar. The spray angle is selected based on the area and geometric features of the surface to be painted.
To achieve an intense color and improve the appearance of the surface, apply two coats of paint.
Precautions
When performing the work, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and conditions of high humidity.
After completion, wash hands and tools thoroughly with warm water.
Storage and transport conditions
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at a temperature not less than +5° and no more than +35°C. Five-time freezing is permitted for a total duration of no more than 2 weeks at a temperature not below -40°C.
The product bucket should be protected from excessive heating and storage in direct sunlight should be avoided. If the conditions are met, the guaranteed storage period in closed factory packaging is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage, product separation may occur; it is easily eliminated by mixing. Keep the not-fully used product in a tightly closed container and use it within the shortest possible time.
Safety
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
