High-quality facade paint for use in facade thermal insulation systems based on mineral wool and polystyrene foam, for painting facades and building and structure plinths, as well as for finishing inside dry and damp rooms in buildings and structures of types A, B, V.
A silicone-modified formulation ensures durability, weather resistance, as well as the best balance of high water vapor permeability and low water absorption. The paint forms a strong, elastic, self-cleaning hydrophobic coating with the “lotos” effect, resistant to the formation of mold and fungi. Tinting is available in pastel and saturated colors.
Tinting and color solutions
The paint is supplied in two bases A and C and can be tinted by computer (machine) in colors of RAL, NCS and other color catalogs. Base A is intended for tinting into light and pastel shades; it can also be used as white paint; up to 5% tinting pastes by weight of the paint are allowed. Base C is used only in tinted form and is intended for tinting into saturated shades; up to 10% tinting pastes by weight of the paint are allowed.
When painting in bright colors using base C, it is recommended to apply in advance a coat of base A paint tinted to a similar shade. Manual tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes.
The organization performing the tinting is responsible for the tinting result.
Color rendering characteristics
Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual color shades may differ slightly from those shown in the color catalog. Before use, it is necessary to perform a test application and check the dried coating for color conformity.
To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended that on one visible surface you use a product from a single production batch (batch number is indicated on each package) or pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.
Requirements for the substrate
The substrate must meet the requirements of SP 71.13 330.2017:
Concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete — age over 3 months and relative humidity no more than 4% Cement-sand, cement-lime plasters — age 28 days and relative humidity no more than 4% BERGAUF ISOFIX, BAU PUTZ ZEMENT, UNTER BAU, GLATTE ZEMENT, FINISH ZEMENT — age over 3 days and relative humidity no more than 6% Sheet gypsum-, cement-, wood-containing materials, as well as gypsum plasters — relative humidity no more than 1%
Work conditions
The surface to be coated must be dry and clean; the substrate temperature for carrying out the work is from +5°C; the air temperature during paint application is from +5°C to +35°C; the relative air humidity is below 80%. It is recommended to use paint from a single production batch to avoid differences in the final coat shade.
Material preparation
Stir the paint thoroughly. Stir using a wide and flat slat or a construction mixer at low speeds, carefully, without allowing air bubbles to form, for 1−3 minutes. It is not recommended to stir the material by shaking a closed can. After transportation and/or intensive stirring, if air bubbles appear, the paint needs to settle until they disappear.
Application method
Apply the paint to a prepared dry, clean surface with a brush, roller, or paint sprayer evenly in 2 coats. It is recommended not to make breaks when painting a continuous surface; in areas of «overlap», use the «wet-on-wet» method. The work should be finished along architectural boundaries (at the building corners, under rain gutters and so on).
For rough surfaces such as textured plasters, brick, concrete blocks, and embossed ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a nap length of 12−25 mm. For rough surfaces such as putties, plasters, concrete, fiberglass mat, and painter’s non-woven fabric — with a nap length of 8−12 mm. For smooth surfaces such as drywall, MDF, particleboard, and elements of architectural decor (fascia boards, moldings, ceiling cornices) — with a nap length of up to 6 mm.
The paint is ready for use; for application by brush or roller, if necessary, it may be thinned with water by no more than 5%.
Precautions
Do not carry out facade work in the presence of precipitation or fog, as well as on wet surfaces after rain and at temperatures below +5 and above +35 °C. During the work, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and conditions of increased humidity.
After finishing the work, thoroughly wash hands and tools with warm water.
Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in tightly closed containers at temperatures of at least +5° and no more than +35°С. Five-fold freezing is permitted for a total duration of no more than 2 weeks at temperatures not lower than -40°С.
The bucket with the product should be protected from excessive heating and should not be stored in direct sunlight. If the storage conditions are met, the guaranteed shelf life in a closed factory package is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
During storage, the product may separate; this can be easily corrected by mixing. Do not keep the product that has not been fully used in a tightly sealed container and use it as soon as possible.
Safety
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
