Purpose and properties
A facade water-based paint based on liquid glass for exterior and interior work on buildings and structures of types A, B, and C. Optimum for painting objects of historical and cultural heritage with plaster bases containing a high proportion of lime binder, as well as for repair and restoration work.
High resistance to temperature fluctuations and heavy rainfall; it retains its color for a long time. Does not form a film. High vapor permeability and alkali resistance.

Protective properties
Protection against fungus and mold— the alkaline nature of paints prevents microorganisms from developing on the surface. Excellent adhesion. The paint forms a strong chemical bond with the mineral surface, which ensures a long service life of the coating and resistance to mechanical damage.

The paint is supplied in base A and can be computer-tinted (machine tinting) to a limited number of colors in the RAL, NCS, and other color catalogs. Base A is intended for tinting into light and pastel shades; it can also be used as white paint.

Responsibility for the tinting result lies with the organization performing the tinting. Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the painted surface, the actual shades of the colors may differ slightly from those presented in the color catalog. Before use, it is necessary to carry out a test application and check the dried coating for compliance with the color.

To avoid differences in shade, it is recommended that on one visible surface you use a product from a single production batch (batch number is indicated on each package) or pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.

Requirements for the substrate

• The substrate must meet the requirements of SP 71.13 330.2017:
• Concrete, reinforced concrete, cellular concrete — age over 3 months and relative humidity no more than 4%. Cement-sand, cement-lime plasters — age 28 days and relative humidity no more than 4% BERGAUF ISOFIX, BAU PUTZ ZEMENT, UNTER BAU, GLATTE ZEMENT, FINISH ZEMENT — age over 3 days and relative humidity no more than 6%

Surface preparation

1. Clean the surface of dust, dirt, efflorescence, and oil stains. Remove poorly adhering paint and plaster using a sandblasting or hydro-sandblasting apparatus, or a steel brush. Heavily chalking and weak surfaces must be cleared down to a sound substrate mechanically or by washing with water under pressure.
2. Level shallow depressions and cracks, chipping, with Bergauf Finish Zement putty, then sand. If the surface is affected by fungus or mold — treat it with a sanitation agent, following the corresponding instructions. Glossy concrete surfaces (cement adhesive) should be treated with a sandblasting apparatus or a steel brush to create a profile suitable for painting.
3. For priming, it is permissible to use Mineral Techno Pro facade silicate paint diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio by mass.

Work conditions
The surface to be painted must be dry and clean; the base temperature for carrying out the work is +5°C; the room temperature during paint application is from +5°C to +35°C; the relative air humidity is below 80%. It is recommended to use paint from a single batch of production to avoid differences in the finish coat shade.

Material preparation
Stir the paint thoroughly. Stir using a wide and flat slat or a construction mixer at low speeds, carefully, without allowing air bubbles to form, for 1−3 minutes. It is not recommended to stir the material by shaking a closed can. After transportation and/or intensive stirring, if air bubbles appear, the paint needs to settle until they disappear.

Application technique

• Apply the paint to a prepared dry, clean surface with a brush, roller, or paint sprayer evenly in 2 coats. It is recommended not to make breaks when painting a continuous surface; in areas of «overlap», use the «wet-on-wet» method. The work should be finished along architectural boundaries (at the building corners, under rain gutters and so on).
• For rough surfaces such as textured plaster, brick, concrete blocks, and embossed ceilings, it is recommended to use rollers with a pile length of 12−25 mm. For rough surfaces such as putties, plasters, concrete with a pile length of 8−12 mm.
• Paint is ready to use; for application with a brush or roller, if necessary it may be thinned with water by no more than 5%. When diluting with water, use the paint within 4−8 hours. The quality of tap water affects the technical parameters of the material.
• To obtain a rich color and improve the surface appearance, it is necessary to apply two coats of paint.

Precautions
During work, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and conditions of high humidity. After finishing the work, wash hands and tools thoroughly with warm water.
Liquid potassium glass reacts chemically with glass, ceramics, glaze, metals, lacquer coatings and so on. These surfaces and elements must be covered before painting. If these surfaces are accidentally painted, it is necessary to immediately remove contamination with water.

Storage and transportation conditions
Store and transport in a tightly closed container at a temperature of not less than +5° and not more than +30°C. Protect the product bucket from excessive heating and avoid storage in direct sunlight. If the conditions are met, the warranty storage period in a closed factory package is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Safety
The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
