Application techniqueWork must be carried out in accordance with SP 293.1 325 800.2017.
Before applying the plaster, it must be thoroughly mixed, as during storage the product may separate. Thinning the plaster with water is allowed in an amount of no more than 5% of the material’s mass.
Apply the plaster with a stainless-steel trowel at a 60° angle to the surface; the coating thickness must match the plaster grain size. Within 25–35 minutes (depending on temperature and humidity) after application (the material will stop sticking to the tool), create the required texture using a plastic trowel. Hold the plastic trowel parallel to the surface and form the texture with light strokes, without pressing.
The “pebble-like” texture is formed with small circular trowel movements directed in one direction, as a rule counterclockwise.
Features of performing the workIf it is necessary to stop work, masking tape is applied along the boundary of the plaster layer; it must be removed before the plaster hardens. To obtain a uniform texture, ensure a sufficient number of workers at each level of the scaffolding and perform the connection of sections between adjacent levels using the «wet-on-wet» method.
After application, in the first 2−3 days, decorative plaster should be protected from direct sunlight, wind, and rain. Under such conditions, it is recommended to cover the scaffolding with a special mesh or film, and to install drip edges on the building. Do not allow freezing or drying out.
Interior finishing should be carried out only in well-ventilated rooms, and after the work is completed, maintain air circulation until the coating is completely dry.
Subsequent workTo color the surface of decorative plaster, it is recommended to use acrylic, silicone, or silicate paints. Painting is carried out no earlier than after 3–5 days, depending on the environmental conditions.
Tinting- Tinting is possible using water-based tinting pastes with high resistance to light and atmospheric conditions, in accordance with NCS, RAL and other tinting systems. Depending on the application conditions, as well as the texture of the surface being painted, the actual shades of the colors may differ slightly from those shown in the color catalog.
- It is recommended to add no more than 5% of the tinting agent, since overdosing it negatively affects the strength and workability of applying the coating. To avoid color variation, it is recommended to use a product from the same production batch on one surface (batch number is indicated on each package) or to pre-mix materials from different batches in a 1:1 ratio; the application technology must remain unchanged.
- The organization carrying out the tinting is responsible for the tinting result. Before use, a test application must be performed and the dried coating must be checked for color conformity.
Color recommendationsThe primer «Bergauf FACADE GRUNT» is recommended to be used in a color close to the color of the plaster used.
Use on facades of materials in intense or dark colors with a reflection coefficient of less than 25% should be limited to small areas occupying no more than 10% of the facade, for example, individual architectural details.
Cleaning the toolsClean tools with water immediately after use. If the tools were not cleaned immediately, they can then only be cleaned mechanically.
LimitationsIt is forbidden to work in atmospheric precipitation, fog, as well as on wet surfaces after rain and at temperatures below +5°С and above +35 °C.
SafetyAttention! The product is fire- and explosion-safe and does not contain flammable components.
